GFO Compliance
Your charging invoices go electronic. Without changing tools.
GFO Omni prepares every invoice and every e-reporting submission. A platform approved by the French tax authority sends them and ensures their integrity. It all happens in one place, inside your software.
September 2026 has already arrived.
In September 2027, it’s everyone’s turn.
Since September 1, 2026, every company must be able to receive e-invoices. And a plain PDF doesn’t qualify: a PDF is read by eye, an e-invoice is read by software, in Factur-X (a PDF with embedded data), UBL or CII. GFO Omni is ready for both dates.
323 days until September 1, 2027
Next up: SMEs and micro-businesses
No postponement: the French tax authority is keeping the timetable. Source: impots.gouv.fr, practical guide to getting started, July 2026.
A charging session ends.
An invoice goes out. Follow it.
The charging session ends.
The charge point sends the session to GFO Omni: energy, duration, price.
It becomes an invoice, in GFO Omni.
Straight away, with the details the reform requires, including your customer’s SIREN (French company number).
The approved platform files and time-stamps it.
Its arrival time is recorded and the integrity of the data is ensured. As a platform approved by the French tax authority, it also transmits the data to the authority.
Your customer receives it and the status turns green.
In their software or on their platform, nothing to print. In GFO Omni, next to your sessions, each invoice shows its e-invoicing status, from creation to approval.
Two flows, sorted for you.
A charging session sold to an individual driver doesn’t produce an e-invoice. It goes into e-reporting: daily totals by type of operation and VAT rate, with no personal data, declared to the tax authority each filing period (every ten days, monthly or every two months, depending on your VAT regime).
- An individual driver pays for the session: it goes into the daily total.
- A fleet or a company receives an e-invoice.
- A local authority receives its invoice through Chorus Pro, the French public-sector invoicing portal.

As a general rule, roaming between operators is also invoiced electronically when both companies are established in France.

Your questions.
Does this apply to me now?
Since September 1, 2026, every VAT-registered company must be able to receive e-invoices, and large and mid-sized companies already issue them. If you’re an SME or a micro-business, you issue e-invoices and file your e-reporting by September 1, 2027 at the latest.
What is an approved platform?
A provider registered with the French tax authority. It issues, sends and receives e-invoices, and passes the data on to the tax authority. GFO Omni connects to it for you.
What if I use other software for my charge points?
That’s what the “with your current software” service is for. It’s an API connection to your current CSMS, in under 24 hours, with no migration. Your sessions then follow the same approved path as GFO Omni. This covers transactions from the connection onward: past transactions and invoices are not made compliant automatically. Backfilling them is a separate service, on request.
Who should I ask about my obligations?
Your accountant remains your point of contact for your obligations.
